내 작업에서 가장 중심이 되는 개념은 ‘beauty mark’입니다. 이는 자연 속에서 마주치는 불완전하지만 묘하게 마음을 사로잡는 순간들을 의미합니다—하늘 아래 홀로 서 있는 한 그루의 나무,
바람에 살짝 흔들리는 가지, 눈에 띄지 않는 들판에서 조용히 피어나는 야생화들. 나는 이러한 흔적, 이러한 찰나를 작품 속에 담고자 합니다.
영감은 자연의 여러 요소들에서 찾아옵니다. 은은하게 빛을 머금은 자개, 햇빛과 그림자가 숨바꼭질하듯 스치는 장면, 바람에 흩날리는 꽃잎의 섬세한 춤, 한여름의 뜨거운 빛이 만들어내는 따스한 반짝임. 여기에 삶의 기쁨과 생동감을 축하하듯 퍼지는 컬러풀한 콘페티의 폭발적인 에너지까지—이 모든 것들이 내 작업의 방향을 결정짓는 영감의 원천입니다. 이런 요소들이 모여 내 회화에는 세상과 연결되는 감각, 경이로움과 따뜻함이 자연스럽게 스며듭니다.
